AI makes it easier to write convincing résumés and college applications. The real challenge is differentiating what applicants claim from what they can actually demonstrate.
The harder it becomes to present yourself convincingly, the more important it is to find ways to demonstrate what you can actually do. I really enjoyed exploring this with Mahelet.
Thank you, Professor Mahelet and Zohre Shirazi for sharing such amazing and valuable content. I really appreciate your effort and the knowledge you are sharing with us. 🙏
Thank you for sharing this valuable resource. My question for Zohre is: How can graduate school applicants use AI to improve the clarity, consistency, and presentation of their CVs while ensuring that every skill and achievement is authentic, evidence-based, and accurately reflects their experience? I would also appreciate advice on how recruiters distinguish credible applications from AI-polished but unsupported claims.
AI should help applicants communicate their real experience, not exaggerate it. Recruiters can look beyond polished wording by asking for specific examples, verifiable outcomes, and evidence of the skills claimed. Ultimately, presentation can be improved with AI, but the evidence must be real.
